festival for girls! on march we, Japanese people have an event of girls, hina Matsuri.

simple style of Hina Matsturi. not traditional one!

emperor and wife, they sit on special cusion.

normaly, the decoration is used red carpet stars, emperor and wife, server, music player, and so on.
I just use emperor and wife, the food, hina-arare.

Hina-arare,the sweets. white, red（pink）, parple(black), blue(green), yellow are important color of Japanese traditional culture which came from old china.

it's very simple style. white and red paper on the fin is also emper and wife. but, these one are burnt after this event. we wipe out our body lightly by using them to get out bad luck from our body. so, they will receive it. they should be burnt or flowed in river. fire and water have same meaning of role, clean up soul.

sadly they will be burnt!

adding to that, we use peach flower. peach's Japanese name is momo. the meaning is forever. 

Amento is kind of peach tree which was grown by special gardener. various colors of blances were attached and gonna be one tree. It's ｃeｌeｂeration flower for Hina-matsuri  

march is 3, this number is girl's one. untill 3rd March, you guys could see hina-Matsuri!

Ｈａｔｏｎｏｓｕ valley deep tokyo

In countryside of Tokyo, alongside Tama river, there are special location! this area's name is Okutama. the closest station is Hatonosu. Hatonosu means nest of pigeon. alongside Tama river, there are some trail pass.
this area is really countryside, so there are bears, wild animals in mountains.
over 2 hours from Tokyo terminal station, but worth going! scenery still has old mood of japan. house, shop, station and so on have calm and refreshing atomospher.
If you use train, I geuss there is no train staff at station!

If you can see, there is a small shrine on the big rock.

New year decoration of Japan

The decoration of New year day. pink and white round one is Mochi, explained rice cake. In japan, people think red and white is good color for celebration. marriage envelope, ceremony for school, lots of things we use those color.
Tiger means the month's God. in asia, we have 12 kind of God. maybe came from china.
All God are animals. year, month, direction and time, we used to use 12 God's name.
Next year's God is dog. but january's God is tiger.

left vegitables has one leaf. there is a word, Omedetou. it means congratulation. Omedetou's me is baby leaf, just get out from ground. Omedetou's de means going out.
so Omedetou gonna be your wish come true.
this decorated vegitable has one leaf, so wish come true in new year. it's praying for God.
All decorated things have meanings. like, Haiku, waka, and so on, Japanese culture have a lot of meanings for one thing. it's like layer.
