Cafe Chopin at Kanda, next to Tokyo sta

Cafe Chopin is known for their sandwich. It's in Kanda, next to Tokyo terminal sta by Chouo-line.


It's not　ｆranchise, it' s kind of family business cafe. It was opened in 1928.

The reason why this cafe is famous is that Anpress.

An is Japanese sweats which is made by boiled bean and sugar. Press means that hot sand.

It makes you happy!!!

This one is incredibly tasty!!!!




When I put it into my mouth, butter 's smell spread though my nose!

Even　the heel of the bread have taste of butter, and then, an, sweat bean come after.

It takes you heaven!!

You will be satisfied with such a tasty sand.

Try it! But  I should say this cafe allow smoking. The staff care smell of smoking and air cleaner always turn on.

I can't say 100% not smell, but not so strong smell.

This is Japanese problem that the government doesn't ban smoking in any cafe and restaurant.

An　ashtray's figure is cat!

I want to ban smoking, but still.

Inside of cafe are decorated on old style, like 1920's Japanese cafe's style.

The people live around there, the people want to eat Anpress and
the people work around Kanda come to here to have coffee and break!

Off course, the music is always Chopin!



Around this area, there are some famous restaurant.  Maybe you can see in your sightseeing books.

Yabusoba,　Matsuya　and Ankou Isegen are known for ｌong-established　over 100 years ago.

Kanda is also famous for shrine.

Kanda myoujin is the name of it.  It has a big festiｖal on 14th May. This is one of the biggest fes in Tokyo.

The god of this shrine is a man who fought against emperor around 940. In Kanto area, including Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa and so on, there are a lot of legend about him.

Kanda is interested area, mixed old and new.
